Ski World Cup Returns to La Thuile

At the end of February there will be a  great return for the Aosta Valley to the international scene of the Ski World Cup: the very best international athletes take on one another in La Thuile in the downhill and Super G on the famous Franco Berthod run.

The resort’s run number 3, named after Franco Berthod, an athlete who wrote the history of ski at La Thuile, is one of the most interesting runs from a technical point of view: a black run that drops from the plateau of Les Suches, through the woodland above La Thuile, to reach the village after almost three kilometres of challenging walls and steep bends.

The competition track is exposed to the north-west, visibility is excellent and the wind only affects the first part of the run.

Entry to the public areas of the parterre is free.
For those of you who want to experience the emotions of the World Cup with skis, there are dedicated areas organized and signposted along the Franco Berthod run no.3.
For safety reasons, both for the competitors and individual skiers, public areas are suitably enclosed.

In the VIP Tent set up in the arrivals parterre, you can follow the competition and sample La Thuile speciality food and wine prepared by Michelin-starred chefs from the Aosta Valley region.
Entry to the VIP Tent costs €200.00 per person; tickets are available at the headquarters of the Organizing Committee, Reveal – Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo
