Spa & Wellness

Relax and be pampered in one of the fabulous spas or wellness centres in the valley, some with mountain views!

In the Aosta Valley, wellness derives from the warmth of your welcome, the quality of the food and the beauty of the landscape which allow you to relax and enjoy your surroundings. The outstanding natural environment is the perfect location for walks and outdoor sports and to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

To further enhance the feeling of well-being, there are also some places that offer visitors truly special experiences, such as the chance to bathe in the warm spa waters with views of Mont Blanc, and focus on providing guests with the chance to do nothing but relax. The places below are members of the Wellness Valle d’Aosta club.

PRÉ-SAINT-DIDIER THERMAL SPA

The springs in the area were known since Roman times, but the use of the waters of Pré-Saint-Didier began in the middle of the 1600s when the first foreigners came to the Alpine basin to “take the waters”.Today, the stunning spa complex overlooking Mont Blanc boasts whirlpool baths with varying intensities, relaxing baths with still water and underwater music, toning cascades, themed saunas in wooden chalets, aromatic steam baths, a mud-treatment area, colour therapy rooms, aromatherapy rooms, relaxation rooms to admire the views and much more!

An underground corridor connects the 19th century thermal establishment with the Ancien Casinò building which hosts innovative thermal facilities and an area dedicated to mud-treatmentsThe ‘piece de resistance’ though lies in the gardens – three magnificent pools in a stunning natural setting. Admire the views of the Mont Blanc massif as you take a dip in the hot water pools or relax in one of the characterful wooden chalet saunas which also have Mont Blanc views from the windows! The outside pools offer sunlounger areas with whirlpool baths. Treatments and massages are available and during the day, guests can take part in sessions with a well-being teacher to guide them through relaxation techniques, exercise and body treatments to carry out in the saunas and beauty masks and aromatic peeling treatments in the steam baths.

SAINT-VINCENT THERMAL WATER

Just a few minutes from the village of Saint-Vincent and linked to it by a modern, automated transport system (the new Cableway) flows a valuable spring with precious, particularly rich water. Discovered in 1770 by a naturalist abbot and officially approved by the doctor of King Charles Emanuel III, the springs therapeutic virtues instantly made it a very famous and popular mineral water.

The rich mineral water is known to help with diseases of the stomach, the intestine, the liver and of the biliary tract, in metabolic disorders, in diabetes, obesity, in childhood gastro-intestinal disorders and in most respiratory tract diseases.

Mineral water drinking treatments are available. The water is collected, analysed and distributed in a spacious 2,600 square metre building which opens onto large rooms, lounges, medical studios, laboratories and a large, panoramic terrace.
